With a rich background in VFX, Thibault transitioned to directing during his tenure at Psyop, where he developed his unique storytelling approach. His work is characterized by stunning, meticulously crafted imagery, each frame exuding an artful balance of creativity and technical precision.
Thibault’s background paradoxically leads him to shoot mostly in-camera.This approach allows him to craft films that are technically surprising while focusing more on performance and art direction, enhanced by his keen eye for casting.
Recently, he has expanded his creative range by incorporating mixed media elements into his directorial work - a natural extension of his visual creative background.
When not behind the camera, Thibault fine tunes his craft through photography. Whether shooting digital or film, Thibault developed an eye for framing that captures moments with a sense of beauty and intention.
He draws inspiration from art, exhibitions, live music and culinary experiences, all different senses constantly feeding his curiosity.
For him, curiosity and keen observation are essential to staying relevant and fresh as a director. Thibault believes that staying curious and observant is key to remaining relevant and continually pushing creative boundaries.
